Basement Jaxx - Raindrops
On those lonely afternoons in June I need you
Just like raindrops (Just like raindrops)
You’ll feel so good upon my lips
Just like raindrops (Just like raindrops)
Even though you’re a million miles away

The Von Ericks - Name of Love
First of all, I apologize because I have been slacking WAY more than should seriously be allowed. It’s almost embarassing. In my defence, my internet’s been all buggered up, and I’ve been avoiding the computer in general in hopes of enjoying my summer a little bit more.
Secondly, The Von Ericks… They do it up glam rock styles, completely amazing. I saw them at SCENE and had never heard of them before. They were awesome. Check them out, I think you’ll be intrigued. They’re addictive.

Crush Luther -City Girl
Crush Luther, another one of my favourites bands whom I discovered at S.C.E.N.E. last summer, have a great, chill sound. And I absolutely love Luther’s voice. The band almost came to an end a little while ago, but fortunately for everyone, managed to pull through and will once again be gracing everyone at S.C.E.N.E. with their presence. This is easily one of the bands I’m most looking forward to seeing.
You can check them out here.

S.C.E.N.E.
Hey guys.
For anyone living in the St. Catharines area, I just wanted to let you know about the S.C.E.N.E. Music Festival if you haven’t yet. The premise is simple: 150 kick ass bands take over 15 stages around St. Catharines and put on a killer show. It’s absolutely stellar. I checked it out for the first time last year and am SO amped for this year. It’s going down on June 29. To find out more info about the lineup and tickets, check out the website.
I’m going to only feature bands that are going to be taking part in S.C.E.N.E. until the big day, so make sure you check them out.

Down With Webster - Grind
I first saw Down With Webster in probably September/October of last year whent they were opening for illScarlett, and I was absolutely blown away. I’ve seen them once again since then, and I’ve got round 3 coming up in a few weeks. These guys have some tight tracks, but that’s not what makes them so amazing. Seeing them live was easily one of my best concert experiences. Ever. These guys have so much presence and energy, they definitely put on a show worth seeing. You can tell they love what they do, and it makes the show just that much better.
If you get the chance to see them, do it. It will be one of the best choices you ever made.
Plus, their drummer plays in his underwear.
Check them out here.

Flobots - Handlebars
Seriously, just so sick. Hip hop group from Denver that is definitely starting to blow up, but they definitely bring their own distinct sound to the genre. Check them out now so you won’t be left behind.

The Black Keys - Strange Times
The Black Keys have an interesting, psychedelic sound, which I think you’ll especially like if you’re a fan of bands like Louis XIV. Their tracks are refreshing, giving you a taste of music that’s a little bit out of the ordinary, and will definitely leave you wanting more. I highly suggest you check out some of their older stuff if you like the sound of this.

MGMT - Time to Pretend
Unique sound, calm music, and completely enticing - I love listening to MGMT when I’m driving around and just chilling out, and you’ll see why. This song is a great introduction to their style. Check it.
